Pat Sullivan

[A person in a suit and tie Description automatically generated with low confidence] Pat Sullivan was appointed director of the Office of Financial Management by Governor Jay Inslee in September 2024. He has many years of experience in budgeting and policy development.
Pat began his career in public service in 1987, working as a legislative assistant in the Legislature. He later worked for the King County Council and served as the first mayor of Covington when it was incorporated in 1997.
In 2004, Pat was elected to the Washington State House of Representatives where he served from 2005 to 2022. He served as House Majority Leader from 2010 to 2022 and was a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
Pat comes to OFM from Governor Inslee’s office, serving as his executive director of legislative affairs for the past year and as senior policy advisor for labor for one year prior to that.
Pat holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. He and his wife, Amy, have three daughters.
